Forge 1.12.2 0.0.2

  • Version: 0.0.2
  • Target: Forge 1.12.2
  • Type: Early test build
  • Release-preparation date: 2026-08-07
  • Previous release baseline: 1.1.6-1.12.2-port

Release delta since the previous release

The Forge 1.12.2 first-parent delta contains 4 commits after the baseline, covering release-version encoding/detection, the 1.1.7 experience port, and real task cancellation.

Player-visible changes

  • The legacy Forge/Java 8 line now carries the Smart Fill, Craft/theme, and related 1.1.7 UI experience, with release metadata encoding/version detection fixes.
  • If area destruction enters WAITING_RESOURCE because the tool is unavailable, a new single mine or other replacement action genuinely cancels it instead of allowing it to continue after UI cleanup.
  • The opening notice, .lang text, and AI guide describe the 1.12.2 legacy differences and name 1.1.6-1.12.2-port as the rollback build.

Technical and compatibility notes

  • The tutorial now covers Storage binding read/write versus extract-only access, Range binding, and UI theme changes. The in-game AI and local versioned appendices also document the client → network → server → task/persistence chain, client/server log boundaries, and trace-based analysis. Normal how-to answers stay brief; recent logs are used for bug diagnosis.

  • Only current-player, current-dimension MINING and area-destruction DESTRUCTION tasks are cancelled; PLACE, QUICK_BUILD, and BLUEPRINT_BUILD remain unaffected.

  • The real cancellation path writes CANCELLED/tombstone, releases runtime state, preserves cursor/succeeded, and closes the workflow; without replacement, WAITING_RESOURCE remains resumable.

  • This is a Java 8/legacy Forge test line. If unstable, return to 1.1.6-1.12.2-port and provide logs/latest.log plus relevant diagnostics.
