RTSBuilding Forge 1.20.1 - 1.1.3-pilot Changelog
Target: Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge
Update range: from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3-pilot
Player-Facing Changes
- Reworked the settings interface into a clearer tabbed structure, and improved the display of the RTS home, skill labels, version notices, and tutorial text.
- Synced the RTS interface to the newer window-based UI. Panels for settings, guide, quick build, range destroy, blueprints, and linked storage details are now movable and scalable for easier management.
- Refreshed textures for the top bar and Quick Build buttons, and removed the old interaction wheel for a cleaner visual style.
- Further completed the Quick Build panel, including shape selection, block snapping, wall/line connection, batch placement, and placement sounds.
- Ported Range Destroy and Chain Mining to Forge 1.20.1, with shape selection, filled/skeleton modes, mining progress bars, and clearer visual feedback for the destruction area.
- Fixed multiple range destroy rendering issues, including skeleton flashing, misaligned target highlights, and abnormal ghost outlines.
- Improved the blueprint system: box selection, naming, material inspection, window layout, placement hints, rotation previews, and empty-hand interactions.
- Enhanced pre-placement previews for creative mode, blueprints, selected-face hints, spawn eggs, and End Crystals.
- Empty-hand mode no longer shows misleading placement ghosts.
- Fixed cases where undo/redo operations could behave incorrectly.
- Added a cooldown to RTS Home relocation to reduce camera glitches from accidental repeated triggering.
Storage, Crafting, And Compatibility
- Added linked storage priority editing, and fixed a crash caused by the priority input box.
- Improved linked storage detail display so storage sources, binding status, and missing-position cases are easier to understand.
- Fixed the RTS inventory overlapping the chat overlay, making chat messages easier to read while the RTS interface is open.
- Synced selected-item position display and floating-window hit testing, reducing overlap between item tooltips, windows, and the bottom panel.
- Reduced UI stuttering and lag when moving large amounts of items, making mining and auto-storage workflows smoother.
- Improved crafting terminal item matching to prevent valuable NBT-heavy items, such as enchanted or durability-sensitive tools, from being accidentally consumed as ordinary materials.
- Fixed remote mining tool detection so the system reliably uses the actual tool you are holding.
- Range/Ultimine mining now stops before the selected tool breaks, helping protect valuable gear.
- Added support for main-hand air use and remote empty-hand operations while in RTS mode.
- Synced Beyond Dimensions network setting text; the Forge 1.20.1 line keeps its own compatibility boundary instead of copying NeoForge-only internals directly.
Internal / Stability
- Reorganized the Forge 1.20.1 client structure, moving input, networking, camera, popup, state, and utility classes into subpackages closer to the 1.21.1 mainline.
- Split the old flat network package into
builder, camera, craft, feedback, progression, andstorage, while preserving Forge 1.20.1's network registration style. - Moved server-side storage logic into
server/storage, with placement logic further aligned underserver/storage/placement. - Synced the remote-mining fake-air visual confirmation path: after server-confirmed block breaking, the client hides broken blocks more promptly, reducing visual block restoration during large mining operations.
- Began unifying Quick Build placement and Range Destroy execution flows to reduce redundant calculations.
- Refactored placement logic into modular components, including batch processing, extraction, quick-build handling, and sound helpers.
- Split rendering logic for placement animations, breaking animations, block ghosts, and wireframes into independent components.
- Improved network synchronization for range destroy progress, placement/break animations, and linked storage state updates.
- Synced refreshed Quick Build textures and layout behavior so Forge 1.20.1 feels closer to the 1.21.1 line.
- Updated the project homepage, mod description, logo, and 1.1.3-pilot version notices.
- Implemented the new multi-slider sensitivity system and fixed startup crashes from earlier testing.
- Overall project structure is now much closer to the 1.21.1 1.1.3-pilot mainline, making future dual-version maintenance easier.
Risk Note
This is a 1.1.3-pilot test build. The Forge 1.20.1 version now includes major synced changes from the 1.21.1 mainline, including UI, Range Destroy, Blueprints, remote interactions, storage, and rendering structure updates.
Please back up important worlds before testing; if you experience instability, consider rolling back to a more conservative older build.
- Newer entry: NeoForge 1.21.1 1.1.4
- Older entry: NeoForge 1.21.1 1.1.3-pilot
