NeoForge 1.21.1 1.1.7-beta1
- Version:
1.1.7-beta1 - Target: NeoForge 1.21.1
- Type: Beta test build
- Release-preparation date: 2026-08-07
- Previous release baseline:
1.1.6-patch3
Release delta since the previous release
The first-parent delta contains 32 mainline commits after the previous release baseline, covering UI, compatibility, diagnostics, and durable-task behavior.
Player-visible changes
- Added and refined the global UI theme, semantic palette, theme editor/gallery, window motion, and area-destruction previews so dense screens expose state more clearly.
- Quick Build, batch storage, Smart Fill, Craft Terminal, remote GUI, and Create/Flywheel compatibility continue to align with the 1.1.7 mainline experience.
- Restored culling/preview state in cases where world or workflow transitions previously left it missing.
- If area destruction entered
WAITING_RESOURCEbecause the tool was unavailable and the player starts a new single, chain, or replacement mining action, the old real area-destruction task is now cancelled instead of returning after UI timeout cleanup. - The in-game AI guide now includes version boundaries and basic log analysis, and the opening Pilot notice names the rollback build.
Technical and compatibility notes
The tutorial now covers Storage binding read/write versus extract-only access, Range binding, and UI theme changes. The in-game AI and local versioned appendices also document the client → network → server → task/persistence chain, client/server log boundaries, and trace-based analysis. Normal how-to answers stay brief; recent logs are used for bug diagnosis.
A new mining replacement cancels only non-terminal
TaskType.MININGand area-destructionTaskType.DESTRUCTIONtasks for the current player and dimension; PLACE, QUICK_BUILD, BLUEPRINT_BUILD, and unrelated tasks are unaffected.Cancellation goes through
RtsTaskEngine.cancelWorkflowTask(...), writingCANCELLED, releasing tool leases/runtime state, preserving cursor/succeeded, writing a tombstone, and closing the visible workflow sorestoreDurableProjection()cannot revive it.Normal
WAITING_RESOURCEbehavior is preserved; old work is cancelled only when the player explicitly starts a replacement action. This Beta should not overwrite important saves without a backup. For instability or severe regressions, return to
1.1.6-patch2and provide client/serverlatest.logpluslogs/rtsbuilding/diagnostics.
